Privacy

ExactMark is built for students, many of them under 18, so it collects as little as possible. The short version: your progress stays on your phone, there are no accounts, and we never ask for an email address or a phone number.

What stays on your phone

Your answers, your progress on each skill, your settings and the optional first name you type are stored in your browser on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them, which is why you can make a backup code.

What reaches our server, and only when you choose

• Backup codes. If you make one, a copy of your progress is stored under a scrambled form of the code, so it can be restored on another phone. Anyone with the code can restore it, so keep it private. Updating the backup replaces the copy.
• Parent reports. If you share one, a small summary (first name if you gave one, days and time practised, skills learned and the grade estimate) is stored under a random link for up to 120 days. It never includes answers or messages.
• The tutor. When you ask the tutor something, your message and the question you are on are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the reply. ExactMark does not store the conversation. Please do not type personal details. To keep the tutor fair and affordable we count messages per device and per network each day, using scrambled identifiers that cannot be turned back into your device or address.

What we never do

No advertising, no tracking cookies, no selling or sharing of data, no contact from us. Read-aloud uses your phone's own voice and sends nothing anywhere. Speaking a question to the tutor uses your browser's speech recognition, which may be processed by your browser's maker (for example Google or Apple); typing is always available instead.

Where it is kept

Backups, reports and tutor counts are held with Supabase in the United States; the website is served by Vercel. We delete tutor counts after about two months and reports after 120 days.

Your choices

You can delete everything on your phone from the Me page at any time. To have a backup or report deleted from our server, write to hello@stratumics.com with the code or link. A parent or guardian can ask the same on a child's behalf.
